Well, if you wanna get technical, this is our actual first show of 2022. Last week we presented our In Memoriam episode, featuring some of the musicians who left us in 2021, so Episode 399 is the genuine article in 2022!
A lot of folks who were in high school in the 80s have been demanding a show comprised of songs from that era -- I'm more than happy to comply, except that during the time I spent in that decade, my musical tastes leaned more towards music of the metallic persuasion. Therefore, the majority of tunes in Monday's show are hard rockin', hard drinkin' stompers (from Judas Priest to Motörhead) with no derivation into the Journey, Stevie Nicks-era Fleetwood Mac, Rick Springfield or Bon Jovi camps. And certainly NO Eagles!
As a tribute to a departed friend, you WILL hear Harpdog Brown's voice near the start of the show.
