Tonight we’re doing something completely unprecedented in the history of The Captain Maniac Show: we’re devoting the entire program to just ONE band! However, this is no ordinary musical outfit — on the contrary, Episode 38 is all about a band from my misguided youth, namely Sparkling Apple, with whom I played drums for over 40 years. Nearly all lineups of this group are represented here — Rocky Rockamoto to Stringbean to Buzz Constantly to Kevin Stuart Swain — in a collection of bootlegs, live recordings and board tapes not found anywhere else in the known universe. For those of you wondering about the Slim Chance years, recordings featuring Gary P will appear in a later broadcast.
Drunk rock: you have to be drunk to play it and drunk to appreciate it!
