Some of you listeners may be too young to remember it, but back in the early 60s we were on the brink of World War Three -- tonight's show features music reflecting those times: Rock 'n Roll For the Atomic Age, featuring great old songs about the atom bomb, fallout shelters and The Cold War. This week's program is entitled "Atomic Brain", so rather appropriately we start off with former 13th Floor Elevators leader Roky Erickson, who does "Creature With the Atom Brain". After a few brain-related tunes, we get into a selection of atomic bomb and nuclear-themed songs from the 1950s and 1960s, and get the proceedings under way with Pearl Harbour & the Explosions' cover of the old Wanda Jackson rockabilly tune, Fujiyama Mama.
