Because the 70s were part of my formative years — well, my 20s, anyway — the music of that period is near and dear to me and forever a part of my soul! For this week’s episode, we return to those daze of flared jeans, big hair and lava lamps with blacklight posters, in a time long before such distractions as cell phones were invented. (If you went to a concert, you would be unable to take phone-video and would therefore be required to enjoy the show and retain the memories in your brain!) This week’s Captain Maniac Show is titled “Still Alive and Well”, so we heartily begin our program with the Johnny Winter song of the same name.
