A Real Live Permanent Dream! Last week we brought you “Garage Beat”, a collection of rather raw and unsophisticated garage rock teen tunes from the ever-lovin’ 60s. This week’s show is a continuation of the same theme, but with our focus on hippie drug references in the titles and lyrics — that’s right, that “fine line between garage rock and psychedelic rock” we spoke of has now been crossed with the same musicians singing about LSD and tripping! Rather appropriately, Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys tellingly contribute “I Just Wasn't Made For These Times”, and the show can be summed up by The Human Expression’s song, “Love At Psychedelic Velocity”.
