Description
We had a suggestion for a show completely devoted to women who rock, so to honour that request, this episode is totally comprised of all-female bands, female-fronted bands, or female artists, in a show we call “Grrrls With Guitars”. Pink Floyd Lady asked, “does this mean Heart and Lita Ford” — well, of course they are certainly represented, but we also include Joan Jett, Orianthi, Halestorm, the Runaways, Bif Naked, Suzi Quatro, The Donnas… a selection of tracks that female rock & rollers have given the world. Naturally, there are plenty more where these came from, but these are all essential musical statements. Sorry, Lady Gaga or Aretha Franklin are not in tonight’s show. Turn it loud!
