In our return to our sporadic but ongoing rockabilly series, we start off tonight’s show with “Hey Little Lucy” by Vancouver BC songwriter (and good buddy), Vic Hildebrandt. His intention was “to write a rockabilly song”, and while there’s a decidedly ancient Conway Twitty song of the same name, Vic definitely succeeded in bringing rockabilly to the 21st Century! Mind you, rockabilly music *already* exists in the here and now, so with that in mind, we present present-day rockabilly with bands like The Green Men From Mars and The Bopshack Stompers, And by request, we also include a sampling of Western Swing , along with our regularly-scheduled roster of 50s sideburned rockers!
