With a name like “Stooge Mayhem”, you’d assume that the show would be totally comprised of songs by the inimitable Iggy Pop and the Stooges, but think again! Although the first three songs on tonight’s program are indeed from The Stooges’ wild and crazy catalog, we have chosen instead to present a further collection of certified and socially unacceptable rockers (mainly because we’ve already included much of the Stooges material in previous shows). In Episode 167, we also pay tribute to fallen Canadian icon Kenny Shields of Streetheart.
Tonight’s show is dedicated to the memory of my old departed buddy, Mr. Stolie Sylte (he finally left the planet after a prolonged bout with ALS). He was a huge fan of The Three Stooges, and referred to their films as “Stooge Mayhem”. Disorder in the court!
