For this week’s episode, we return to those Fabulous Fifties and Swingin' Sixties. As Freddie Bell & His Bellboys (those incredible Giddy Up A Ding Dong guys) assure us, “I’m gonna teach you how to rock” with some undisputed intergalactic rockin’ and boppin’! In fact, early in our program we feature a very young Brenda Lee instructing us to Rock the Bop, after which, we dutifully Rock Around With Ollie Vee. Although we do feature a Chuck Berry tune (“Almost Grown”), we would have presented more of a tribute to the now-departed King of Rock & Roll had we not pre-recorded this episode a few weeks before Chuck’s passing on March 18, 2017. To quote Billy Fury, however, “Play It Cool”!
