Where were you in ’62? Here’s a salute to the moldy oldies that were the soundtrack of my youth back in the kinder and gentler 1950s and early pre-Beatles 1960s: car tunes galore! What we have here is the final episode of The Captain Maniac Show originally created for the RadioAmplifire series back in May, 2014. At that time, this episode was titled “Thursday Night Oldies Party”, owing to the fact that we broadcasted live on Thursday nights. Now that RadioAmplifire is long gone, this show is available 24/7 on Mixcloud, so we have retitled it “Friday Night Oldies party”, mainly because I can name it whatever I want, eh? The show has since been skillfully edited, given the sonic upgrade treatment with compression & equalization and is now suitable for human consumption! Time for some Good Rockin’ Tonite!
