I won't say my age but I'll tell you my first live concert was Ravi Shankar I've been listening to psychedelic music since it was invented...or at least since music like Ravi's sitar met the 60's rock scene. After some dead zones I started hearing signs of psychedelic music life, even though it truly never died. The VERVE, The Spacemen 3 ,The Telescopes,Primal Scream and so many more but then along came "Anton" yep neopsychedelia was alive & the greatest ever. As a teen I listened to our local underground radio station KCAC/KDKB Mesa AZ. late night DJ's...the way they put in long sets of songs that had some mood, connected either musically in sounds or took you on a ride of feelings.I got my chance to do a radio show on KBRP where I live in Bisbee Arizona where they sell bumper stickers"Bisbee AZ. It's Like Mayberry On Acid" I found a home. A huge thanks to Chris "Zip" Sawyer who does the mixes & took me in at the station. Hugh Starks is now my boardman @KBRP radio.. gracias!
