In 2006 Rainer Maria Silke founded together with his friend and cannibal cooking club project partner Alex Kork the freaky techno label 9Volt-Musik, where he releases under the moniker Berk Offset next to labels like Musik Krause, Snork , Mo's Ferry or his own self distributed vinyl label "Wakkler" his kind of Phrikkel and Fehlerfunk. From hidden sound scape projects over his techno and break core dj project “error” to the ccc act or the weird future funk glitch duo “Phööptärt” (with Tanaka Hideyuki from Tokyo) he is the man for the weird and innovative side of danceable music. Always searching for a way to combine reduced, slow but heavy pumping and lumbering detailed techno with his beloved Brighton sound he founded a style called “Phrikkel” or “Fehlerfunk” which can be heard on many of his releases or during his high voltage gigs. Interested in all aspects of art and science he founded the first German online forum for experimental music and music theory, called "Stromschleifen".
