SLF IMG is an Italian synth punk sex wave duo formed by Umberto Cavalloni and Giacomo Stefani. Their sounds evokes a romantic 80s Balearic energy fueled by the dark, driving force of early EBM and proto-funk electro acid.
The obvious influence of pioneering acts such as DAF and Nitzer Ebb shines through in a sound that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly new: stripped-back twisted pop with tongue-in-cheek irony, graceful attitude, catchy hooks, and sinister basslines and synths.
Their momentum continues with a new release already on the horizon: the next EP is set to come out on Bordello A Parigi between April and May, marking the next chapter in the duo’s evolving sonic journey.
