In the past year the United States has experienced unprecedent policing practices which have raised concerns in communities accross the union of its 50 states. The most recent case was in McKinney, Texas where an officer is believed to have over reacted to a group teen agers at an end of school year party which raised a lot of concerns to how Corporal Eric Casebolt handled the situation. This has raised concerns that its not only a matter of young men of color, but also girls based on the officer's mishandling of a teen age girl. The question arises, should parents revisit their parenting dynamics in this era of high racial profiling and police brutality?
