You have to return to your roots and eat them once in a while. & then spit them out. A soundscape of spring is as good as a walk through nature or a film or photos of nature. Humans todays are as fascinated by nature even tho this fascination occurs in their bedroom studios. Classical composers wrote hundreds of works inspired by nature, the Alps, hollering and yodeling in nature and this music was called program music – basically a portrait of nature painted in musical notes, in sound. That is what i like to do: big sprawling, crawling, morphing, ad hoc, dj-error-prone soundscapes focused vaguely/poetically on one theme. this soundscape features Alpine sounds, the words of Thoreau, Dallas Simpson's sound studies in nature, those of Charlie Morrow but also some electronic/a and acousmatic discussions between humans and nature...
