I've been listening to “Creator” since 1974. It was one of my first jazz albums. I never noticed the yodeling in LT’s voice until 20 years later. He's featured in YODEL IN HIFI: http://uwpress.wisc.edu/books/4594.htm.
Prince Far I, was shot to death at his Kingston home in 1983. His murder may've been politically motivated. He had that distinctive gruff deep barrel vibrato, that voice of peace and reason, of poetry beyond fabrication and that dub groove. I first became aware of his voice on various On-U records where his voice is often and amply sampled as if he was still alive.
