As a first generation Sri-Lankan American, Texas native and New Orleans resident for two decades, Sonali’s sense of place and community is the cornerstone of her relationship to music. Sonali has worn many hats - arts educator, restaurant owner, brand director, venue booker, and curator - in addition to collaborating on various musical works throughout the years. Sonali’s current projects include event production with FATHER FIGURE (Trax Only) and cultivating a thriving collection of cacti and succulents on her legendary block of Laharpe Street in New Orleans.
