Description
Valentine Comar continues her Worldwide Breakfast segment, “Breakfast with…”, where artists share the music they love to wake up to. This edition welcomes London-based producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist Shoko Yoshida.
With over a decade performing across the UK and Japan, Shoko, bassist for Nabihah Iqbal and member of Kuunatic and Findom, specialises in deep house, nu-disco, and jazz-inflected grooves. Her intuitive DJing and eclectic taste have been featured on BBC Radio 6 Music, NTS Radio, and Worldwide FM.
For this session, Shoko’s selection glides between downtempo soul, jazz-laced electronics and deep sunlit house, warm, spacious and propulsive, creating a perfect morning soundtrack. Valentine complements the guest segment with her own curated tracks, weaving a relaxed and expansive start to the day.
