The show features a number of his favourite tunes by African artists across the timeline of recent history, as well as many directly influenced by its indomitable radiance. These help to illustrate how its powerful rhythms and timeless melodies continue to permeate popular culture and help shape the way we hear things today. The show also features a short interview segment with original Last Poets member Abiodun Oyewole about one of his recent trips to Senegal.
