Sharari is a multidisciplinary artist and DJ exploring the intersections of sound, spirituality, sensuality and storytelling. Rooted in heritage and ritual, their practice is shaped by ancestral memory, dreamscape and fantasy. Through exploring the relationship between origin and evolution, Sharari builds new ritual from the memory of old.

Join Sharari on the WOH Radio stage for “Sacred Sounds” – A journey through the sacred sounds of Gnawa music. Exploring the trance inducing, healing rituals of Maghreb sonic and spiritual tradition. With an inheritance of sub-saharan origin, this mystic heritage travelled across deserts, adapting in form and practice. The seeds of this sound have found their way into jazz, house and beyond. The show will unearth how these sacred sounds live on outside their indigenous beginnings.
