That 8 Track Indaba is a podcast series of two hour monthly webisodes focussed on South African and diaspora music - using the “Indaba Is” compilation released by Brownswood Recordings in January 2021 as its launchpad. Told through the voices of the album's creators and featured artists, the show finds its entry points through the eyes of this community. This eight-episode music magazine show takes a look at the cultural and musical influences that have shaped the players on the record, giving listeners an authentic look into the collaborative spirit that fuels the Johannesburg live music scene during, between, and after lockdown periods.
