Paul Bradshaw is the editor/publisher of the iconic Straight No Chaser magazine and in this mid summer special he kicks off with an extraordinary tribute to Don Cherry by violinist Billy Bang – recorded in Ho Chi Minh City – and a brilliant solo piano version of 'My Favourite Things' by the late Masabumi Kikuchi. Using the prism of music he also homes in on the June birthdays of various seminal reggae artists while adding a little dose of Congolese soukous to recall his journalistic relationship with the Paris based photographer Jean Bernard Sohiez RIP.
