Description
For this week's Soul Revivers show with Nick Manasseh, we celebrate the life and works of the great, maybe the greatest ever producer, to emerge from Jamaica and the Roots Reggae vibration of the 1970s.. With contributions from the legendary Trombonist Vin Gordon, who spent much of this time at Lee Perry's studio - the Black Ark,; the great producer Adrian Sherwood who worked with Mr Perry extensively after Mr Perry moved to London; one of our favourite artists- Earl 16 Daley who has beautiful tunes with Scratch from that time, another great Trombone player Mr Henry 'Matic Horns' Tenyue AKA 'Buttons' who knew Mr Perry well and toured with him in later years; and the writer and broadcaster Chris Salewicz who was initiated into the mysteries of the Black Ark as a young journalist in the late 70s..
Many thanks to Worldwide FM for allowing us to make this a 3 hour special exploring the many sides of Mr Lee 'Scratch' Perry.. Enjoy..
