Elan Rhys is one of Wales’s most compelling voices today. Hailing from Caernarfon, North Wales she has been recording and performing with her sibling trio, Plu (pronounced “Plea” and meaning “feathers” in English) for the last decade or so, and exclusively in the Welsh language. Elan has collaborated with Carwyn Ellis extensively, not just on all of the Latin-influenced Rio 18 albums but also on “Bendith”, the joint album made by Plu and Ellis in 2016. Her unique style features prominently on next year’s Rio 18 album, so keep your eyes and ears peeled!
