A 60 minute journey through Venezuelan music selected by one of the country's OG music head and digger DJ Tostoni. Now based in Mexico City, Tostoni is a former Worldwide FM host, his show Head Sounds was a brilliant journey through heavy, often psychedelic sounds from Venezuela and Latin America. He also curated the excellent Venezuela 70 compilation on Soul Jazz Records. The mix, underpinned by Tostoni's penchant for psychedelic sounds, starts with traditional music, before moving into more experimental tunes from forward thinking artists like Alexis Rossell and Vytas Brenner. The 2nd half of the show explores groovier and jazzier sounds from the likes of Gerry Weil and Frank Quintero Y Los Balzehaguaos
