Postcard from the Estonian Funk Embassy // 26-11-2025

Starting in the 1970s, from behind the Iron Curtain, the show delivers a selection of Estonian groove from each following decade up to the present day. The host, EHTE, founded Funk Embassy Records in 2016. The music house works with contemporary talent, as well as curating the "Groove of ESSR" compilation series, featuring musical treasures found at the Estonian Radio archive. The mission is to give artists, once limited by the oppressive Soviet regime, a second chance in the free world. This task is shared among other labels like Umblu, Frotee, Hyper Records, and Jazzagression, whose output will also be showcased.
