Nile Ashton is a multi-instrumentalist turned DJ/Producer originally from Durham, North Carolina. Frequent visits to his family roots in Treme and Memphis have influenced his stylistic approach to DJing. Now New Orleans based, he has developed a house driven sound that blends various genres of electronic music into an eclectic, but approachable dance experience. “for the club, not the faint of heart...” Nile is also 1/2 of the DJ Duo "Secret Handshake" with fellow NOLA-based Artist/ DJ Lady Lavender. This project explores genres such as electro, breakbeat, and techno with a mission to influence a new generation of underground dance music enthusiasts.
