GILA's dedication shines in his artistry, fusing natural groove with expert production. Starting with jazz drumming, GILA's musical journey took a turn when he was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at age 17. Undeterred, he turned to beat-making on his laptop, birthing GILA Monsta and collaborating with Face Vega in Gorgeous Children. His production prowess caught the attention of labels like XL Recordings and Lucky Me, ultimately leading to a partnership with Benji B and his Deviation label where he released the acclaimed ‘Pick Six’ EP . GILA's boundary-pushing sound eventually found a home at Lex Records with his debut album, ‘Energy Demonstration’.
