30 years ago, in 1989, a suitcase arrived in Europe from Venezuela filled with amazing Latin records. That case was the beginning of Mr Bongo – the record shop that became the Brighton-based label and publisher for some of the finest selections in Brazilian, Latin, African, Jazz, Soul, Reggae, Hip Hop and Psychedelic flavours.
Brand new & forthcoming releases on Mr Bongo including new music from Kit Sebastian’s contemporary masterpiece, ‘Mantra Moderne’ and UK hip hop dons, Jungle Brown featuring Terri Walker.
