Monthly show from Kate Hutchinson, Guardian music and culture journalist, broadcaster and DJ from London. She is also the former Clubbing Editor at Time Out and is still waiting impatiently for the fidget-house revival.
Kate talks to her former boss and long-time Nightlife Editor Dave Swindells about London's legendary clubs as Time Out turns 50 this year. He runs through his favourite parties from the past, from weekly hop-hop night YoYo, once at Notting Hill Arts Club and Gilles Peterson's own Talking Loud Saying Something to the acid house boom with Shoom, The Future, Spectrum, The Clink and The Trip and the 80s fashion parties frequented by club kids like Leigh Bowery (pictured). And the two will discuss the real beginnings of the second summer of love (or spring of love!) and why it wasn't just about a bunch of white dudes going to Ibiza, as acid house looks to celebrate its 30th birthday in 2018.
