Gondwana Records are delighted to welcome award-winning saxophonist and flautist Chip Wickham to the family. An original member of the Gondwana Orchestra with Matthew Halsall, whose credits also include The Pharcyde and Nightmares on Wax, Chip takes over this months show with a 2–hour journey including the premiere of his debut new single on Gondwana ‘Sais (Egypt)’, an uplifting spiritual-jazz piece and a cover of Lonnie Liston Smith’s classic from the maestro’s iconic Cosmic Funk album. Plus a look at contemporary influences, collaborations, classic jazz and Latin beats.
