Erica McKoy in conversation with Professor Mia Mask to discuss the life and works of Pam Grier. Professor Mia Mask has curated the season, Pam Grier: Foxy, fierce and fearless at the BFI, a 14-film retrospective. The season runs from Sept 2 to Oct 4 and presents three stages of Grier’s unorthodox career from the early ‘Sexploitation start-up’ era to Blaxploitation cult classics and a ‘Nostalgia for Pam’ phase.
Mia Mask is professor of Film at Vassar College, and is the author of the book 'Divas on Screen: Black Women in American Film'.
