To mark Refugee Week this year, Border Voices have put together a special show featuring the stories of migrants, refugees and asylum seekers who, at one point along their journey, have found themselves in Northern Greece.
This show is a collection of conversations recorded between September 2020 and March 2023, in Thessaloniki, Greece. We met all the guests through grassroots NGOs and solidarity movements within Greece, so this acts as an archive capturing some of the stories of the people behind the humanitarian work taking place there. However, the focus is on those with the lived experience of crossing borders irregularly.
All the music has been selected by the guests themselves, sharing songs that remind them of home or that hold importance in their lives.
