I'm back, first mix of 2019....the 4th chapter of the Unknown series. Every time I set out to make a one of these mixes, I have a strong idea about what it should be, however it always ends up being different than I expected, sometimes harder...sometimes softer...sometimes 10x better than I could have imagined. That's what I love about DJ-ing. The organic nature of the music often takes its own form as its combined with other loops, tracks and effects. Too much preparation and play-it-safe will never create those unknown goosebump moments. I am happy to say this mix is no exception to the rule. Recorded in one take, after a long hiatus, I was counting on instinct, improvisation and some muscle memory as I was blending this 1h40min soundtrack. This is action, this is tough, 2...3 tracks at a time, this is not a chill out mix. For that I will be recording "Title of Work Vol.2" later this month. In the meantime have a listen and run with the flow. #vedrandj
