London hip-hop collective The Sindecut are credited as one of the pioneers of the UK hip-hop scene, with DJ Fingers hailed as one of the first turntablists in the UK and featured in the iconic 1987 ‘Bad Meaning Good’ BBC documentary about UK hip-hop culture. Ahead of the release of the debut The Sindecut & Ijeoma album ‘Late’ - the cumulative outcome garnered from a 20-year creative collaboration and vision - DJ Fingers has put together this exclusive mix; “This mix is a rare insight into the tradition of the scratch mix DJ. In the world where I cut my teeth, the DJ would cover his selection from view and it would be a mystery to the on looker or anyone listening. There was no Shazam or Google to assist with finding out what the DJ was cutting up. It’s a pleasure to reveal what I’m cutting up and sharing with you in this mix. I called it ‘Marmite’. I hope you love it”
