Jazz First team member Tony Minvielle selects some of his favourite tracks, old and new, for a one-hour special heading into International Jazz Day. Originally from South London, Tony has spent over four decades as a broadcaster, writer, curator, and DJ. He emerged from the London jazz dance scene before championing soul jazz in the UK Midlands.

A pioneer on Virgin Radio's first DAB station, Tony also broadcast on Atlanta's WCLK 91.9 and now presents weekly shows on Jazz FM and onejazz.net, while producing documentaries for Jazz FM and Absolute Radio.

His interviews and DJ sets have featured legends like Curtis Mayfield, Gil Scott-Heron, Roy Ayers, Gregory Porter, and Ezra Collective. A judge for the ARIA and Audio Production Awards, he co-curated the Barbican's 'From The Caribbean To Coventry' exhibition and hosted concerts celebrating David Axelrod and Charles Stepney.
