This month focussing on Detroit Soul from the 60’s and early 70’s, including focus LP of the month, Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On. Being Detroit and being Soul there is bound to be a fair dose of Motown – which there is, but have also dug up other labels from that era, some well known, some not so much. The Back to Back feature is another Detroit resident who was never on Motown – Aretha. Plus new releases on Original Gravity and Happy People - and other bits thrown in. All in all – a great show to get on the good foot for the first Monday of the month!
