Believe it or not, this took nearly 2 months to put together. The inspiration for this mix was threefold: 1. the need for a soundtrack for my typically 55 minute COVID Lockdown 5K walk 2. San Francisco Sessions Volume 1 by Mark Farina, in terms of vibe and use of recurring vocal samples 3. news of the death of Jack Welch - his voice is lyrical and pompous - beautifully ambiguous out of context and malleable in the context of the mix.
*STOP PRESS : this one has a video! Many of you have asked what it is exactly that I am doing with these mixes! This will give you an idea. Most of the tracks have been decomposed into phrases and the arranged to suit the mix. To see how I am putting those phrases together see the live show which is this mix before final editing.
