There’s no messing about on this week’s Into the Blogosphere. From the very off, you’re going to be exposed to some of the catchiest, most promising pop to appear in months, nigh on years. The Neighbourhood are getting us all giddy with excitement, so it’s only natural that the show begins with one of their two tracks, ‘Sweater Weather’. Following this, there are big-name returns, notably from Jai Paul (his first track in two years), Dirty Projectors and Liars. We close the show with the biggest name of all: Sigur Ros.
In between all of this we have the crowning glory of the show - the new Japandroids song - heading a hard-hitting mid-section of the show in which “all guitars go” is the guiding rule. So prepare yourself for Ty Segall, Lotus Plaza and a special little Fanzine track. Alongside this, we balance it out with some glistening electronic tunes from Jewellers and JMII as well as the “super chill” Ghost Loft. It’s the only description that fits that guy’s work.
