DIY Radio: Into The Blogosphere (27th February 2012)

Virtually every ‘Into the Blogsphere’ show is crammed with bands who have brilliant (read: slightly dubious) names, but this week’s outing took the biscuit: Majical Cloudz, Kites With lights, Twin Cabins, Kiamos and K-Holes all make you stop what you’re doing just on sheer merit of their names. Truth be told, their respective music isn’t bad either.

Bar the return of Crystal Castles (celebrated with a delightful HEALTH remix), most of the acts on this week’s show are relatively new. Most are making a name for themselves, like Paleman and his funky dub, La Sera and her hugely promising new material, Simian Ghost and their gentle, taming Swedish pop. Mix in some astoundingly good electronica (Food Pyramid and Kiasmos) and you’ve got yourself a rather flawless 2 hours of new music.
