The 'true' Summer's of Love' had this brilliant string laden high energy euphoria at it's epicentre, days of innocence past and one of the last truly creative periods of (jeez, this is gonna make us sound grumpy, sorry) 'proper' 'musicianship' (in virtuosity terms only natch).
Just to think some of 'us' weren't born at this time, some others were in short trousers with Sex Pistols scribbled on their schoolbook, so Disco was as Alien to us as we were to them, but now?...All we wanna do is go back there for a taste!
This mix was made with NYE 2011 in mind too...So if your DJ hasn't turned up, or is hellbent on playing Funk Metal or Radiohead as 12 o'clock rears it's head, kick 'em out and stick this up full blast instead.
