This mix was done specially for a friend who is a singer in a local band.
They are called Hennesea and are a good uptempo female vocal due backed by a contemporary pop/folk sound. One song from a recent EP has been remixed in a commercial house/trance style, and when she played it me at her party, I said I'd put it in the mix. The track, by the way, is a tribute to Gene Kelly, which was written to celebrate what would have been his 100th birthday this August.
Here is the result. I wanted commercial club tunes, all vocal, with a variety of similiarities to Hennesea track -
all vocals, some acoustic guitar, folky influences (including a Stevie Nicks cover), and a bit of rain here and there.
In addition I needed to key-match as much as possible to make it sound clean.
All tracks are vinyl except the Hennesea which is a 320mp3 converted with LAME from the wav source.
