Description
Sometimes life slows you down. This week it did.
I was sick at home, just me and the music .. and somewhere in that stillness, the tracks I played hit differently. Deeper. With lots of emotions. The kind of listening you only do when you have nowhere to be.
This one is very personal. Minor chords and open spaces. Andrew Bayer easing you in, Royksopp and Fever Ray pulling something out of your chest, Fritz Kalkbrenner and Ben Böhmer wrapping it all in warmth. Moments without percussion, just melody and feeling, the kind that makes you stop whatever you're doing and just .. listen. But it builds. Because that's what recovery feels like too. From Faithless to Boxer's Social Hand Grenade, the energy slowly returns, until CRi and Nicky Elisabeth close it out with This Is Our Life, and suddenly everything feels okay again!
This mix is how the last few days felt. Honest, intimate and quietly hopeful. As always, your likes, reposts, comments, and follows mean the world.
With love, Edgar.
