Description
Dnte (Budapest/Berlin)
While there’s no shortage of artists attempting to marry classical instrumentation with synthetic beats, few manage it with as much style as Dnte. there’s little chance the Hungarian producer’s music could be mistaken for middlebrow classical crossover. Instead it’s off-beam, seasick and strange; his 2011 LP Wake Me Up played up the textural similarities between the slurring folk trumpets of his homeland and the blunted textures of instrumental hip-hop, for example. In this exclusive Mix of the Day, Dnte crafts an hour of electronic music harvested from the weirder side of the dance floor.
