Halloween Special - October 30, 1993

Nineteen years ago on this very day I broadcast my Halloween special from WMFO. I recorded that show to cassette and tossed it into a box where it sat for nearly two decades, waiting patiently for the day when it would be unleashed upon the world once again. Today is that day!

WMFO broadcasts under a freeform format and, me being me, I couldn’t just play the hits. Oh, sure, there were the obligatory classics like Bobby “Boris” Pickett & the Crypt Kickers “Monster Mash” and Ministry’s “Every Day is Halloween” sprinkled here and there but I also played unexpected songs from the likes of Skinny Puppy and Rudimentary Peni. But there are also some tracks that I’m very sentimental about.
