Description
Recorded live at Port Sa’id in New York, this four-hour-and-20-minute episode of Jazzystan is an entirely vinyl set, opening with Danny Krivit’s beautiful edit of Sade before moving through soulful house, disco, jazz and Afro-Latin rhythms.
One of the most special moments of the show is “Love Is Stronger Than Pride,” a remarkable instrumental interpretation of the Sade classic by Ian Fink and Ben Ralston, featuring Scott Grooves on percussion.
The rest of the journey features music and remixes from Gigi Testa, Antonio Cassio, Omar & Joe Claussell, Louie Vega, Anané, Tony Momrelle, Masaki Morii, Angela Johnson, Blaze, Marcos Valle, Gerardo Frisina, Dexter Wansel, The Brand New Heavies, Prince (Delfonic Rework), Peven Everett remixed by Glenn Underground, Incognito (Roger Sanchez Remix), new DJ Spen, Nathan Haines & The Illusions, François K, Theo Parrish, Dave Lee’s remix of The Trammps, Marvin Jupiter and many-many more.
