In this show we welcome filmmaker and multidisciplinary artist Kiran Acharya to talk about his new release Gama Bomb: Survival of the Fastest — the award-winning documentary on Ireland’s cult thrash-metal band. We’ll go behind the scenes of the shoot, trace the band’s wild journey, and spin some of Kiran’s favourite tracks from Gama Bomb catalogue and beyond.
Alongside Gama Bomb doc, Kiran’s work spans from Eternity Interrupted, a poetic fusion of documentary and augmented reality with a score by Clint Mansell, to contributions on acclaimed UK films like Dispossession and Energy, Michelle Heighway’s portrait of Damo Suzuki. A recipient of the Puttnam Scholarship for creative talent, he brings a unique sensibility to music on screen.
