Background: Carla Careri, known professionally as Carli Smile DJ, was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She comes from a family deeply rooted in the arts, with her father being a renowned painter and restorer of antiquities, and her mother a singer and guitarist. Growing up in the 1980s in the United States, Carli was immersed in a vibrant environment of art and music, which ignited her passion for sound and rhythm.
Journey into DJing: Although life initially took her in different directions, Carli’s passion for music was reignited in 2021 through a family project—a bar inspired by the 80s called “Plush Resto Bar.” With the encouragement of two DJ friends, she returned to her love for music and mixing.
Musical Style: Carli Smile DJ specializes in genres such as deep house, house, progressive, and melodic techno. She is currently honing her music production skills, working full-time to perfect her craft with the guidance of Cristian Gandini, Ladies on Mars, and Julian Rocci.
