SNS EP152 - HABIT

Gabriel "Habit" Barrere was born in Canoga Park, CA on June 21st 1989. Being the son of Little Feat guitarist Paul Barrere, Gabriel was raised in a very eclectic musical environment. As he grew up, so did his hunger to participate and create music himself. After a brief stint with trying to play guitar and bass, he set his sights on becoming a DJ. Having acquired his first pair of decks at the mere age of 13, Gabriel became obsessed with scratching and turntablism. Upon hearing Hive's seminal classic "Ultrasonic Sound," he became fascinated with the Drum and Bass genre. We see Habit continuing to grow and expand his take on Drum and Bass music with some forthcoming production work and gigs out across Los Angeles including the legendary Respect Thursdays. Habit has shared the stage with the likes of Pendulum, Hive, Heist, Urban Assault, and Kryteria amongst others.
