**https://soundcloud.com/kikiblossom** is a 90s kid, growing up at a time when vinyl was going out of style. As a teenager, she saw a 1210 DJ set up for the first time; her sister’s boyfriend was selling his gear. The fascination stuck. Fast forward ten years: she explores the electronic music scene in Glasgow as a dancer, but after a few years, longs for an experience without curfews and decides to move to Berlin in 2013. Just before leaving, she scores her own turntables.
Slowly she builds a record collection and teaches herself how to mix. But soon it becomes clear she got the music bug bad, leaves the academic world of art history behind, and starts working part-time as a record cataloguer in 2020. One could say she’s a late bloomer;
